Operations Director – Total Facilities Management
Location: London / South East | UK-wide portfolio
Salary: £90,000–£100,000 + £8,000 Car Allowance + Bonus
We are exclusively partnering with a growing UK Facilities Management organisation to appoint an Operations Director – UK (TFM).
This is a significant leadership opportunity within a business that has experienced considerable growth and is now entering its next phase of development. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take overall operational responsibility for a £50m+ UK portfolio, leading an established senior operational team across a diverse range of contracts and sectors.
Importantly, we are not solely looking for an existing Operations Director. This could be an excellent opportunity for a high-performing Divisional/Regional Operations Director, Head of Operations, or Senior Account Director who is ready to take the next step and assume much broader operational responsibility.
The role will include:
- Leadership of experienced Operations Directors and Heads of Operations
- Overall operational performance across a national £50m+ portfolio
- P&L ownership, contract profitability, and margin improvement
- Executive-level client relationships and contract retention
- Oversight of major mobilisations, compliance, and operational risk
- Supporting organic growth, cross-selling, and major bids
- Developing the operational structure and leadership capability required for continued growth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
