Operations Director

East Midlands

Ready to run a manufacturing business, not just a department? Working alongside an aspirational Managing Director who will be continuing the upward trajectory of his career, you'll need to be ready to do the same soon.

A leading UK manufacturer needs an ambitious Operations Director to lead manufacturing and transport across multiple sites and shifts. You'll raise the bar and move at pace. You should also have the drive to one day take the reins of the whole business. Playing it safe isn't always the brief. You'll back yourself to make bold calls without compromising on quality, safety or teamwork.

The role

  • Set and deliver an operational strategy built for growth and scale
  • Lead production and transport across all sites and shifts
  • Build a high-performing management team that owns its results
  • Drive productivity, quality, yield and cost through clear KPIs
  • Push automation, continuous improvement and waste reduction
  • Own Health & Safety, environmental and quality compliance, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Lead change and new product introductions with R&D and the senior leadership team
  • Manage budgets, workforce planning and capital investment
