Role Description
The Director of Operations is a contract role responsible for overseeing YooKatale’s operational strategy and execution across its hybrid physical and digital food marketplace. Based in the London Area, United Kingdom, this hybrid position allows some work from home while requiring on-site collaboration as needed.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Managing end-to-end operations
- Optimizing processes
- Ensuring service delivery aligns with the company’s mission and customer-centric culture
The role involves:
- Developing and monitoring operational KPIs
- Overseeing budgeting and resource allocation
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience
Additionally, the Director of Operations will:
- Lead and mentor teams
- Support expansion initiatives
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant standards
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, workflow design, and performance monitoring.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, generating insights, and supporting data-informed decision-making.
- Proven Team Management experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Budgeting and resource management capabilities, including planning, forecasting, and cost control.
- Customer Service orientation, with a track record of improving customer experience and building customer-focused processes.
- Experience in hybrid or technology-enabled businesses, ideally within food, retail, marketplace, or service industries.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a contract capacity, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-evolving environment.
