Role Description
The Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Reading, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across logistics and supply chain functions. This role will lead and develop operational teams, ensure efficient resource allocation, manage budgets, and maintain high standards of service delivery for clients and partners. The Director of Operations will analyse operational data, identify process improvements, and implement strategies to optimise warehouse utilisation, capacity planning, and customer experience.

- Aligning operations with commercial objectives

- Ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations

Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management experience, including oversight of logistics, supply chain, and warehouse or fulfilment environments.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational metrics, drive data-informed decisions, and support capacity and performance optimisation.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, with experience leading diverse teams, developing talent, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Demonstrated Budgeting skills, including managing operating costs, forecasting, and supporting commercial planning and profitability.
- Commitment to high-quality Customer Service, with experience managing client relationships and improving service standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and partners.
- Background in logistics, 3PL, supply chain, or related sectors; experience in e-fulfilment or warehousing is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
