90k-110k + Equity
A fast-growing, venture-backed business operating at the intersection of music, content, hospitality, and workspace is looking for an exceptional Director of Operations to join its senior leadership team.
This is a high-ownership opportunity for a commercially minded, people-focused operator who knows how to build exceptional multi-site operations and create the systems, processes, and culture required to scale.
The business operates a growing portfolio of premium creative spaces across London, bringing together the community of a members' club, the facilities of a creative studio, and the flexibility of a modern workspace. With multiple profitable sites already trading and further expansion underway, the organisation is entering an exciting phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of the operational backbone of the business, ensuring every site delivers an exceptional member experience while operating efficiently and commercially.
The Role
As Director of Operations, you will lead the teams, systems, and standards that underpin the entire physical operation. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, developing, and scaling multi-site operations teams, including General Managers, Area Management, and Operations.
- Building a high-performing culture, with clear progression, onboarding, and development pathways.
- Establishing consistent operational standards across every location.
- Owning the end-to-end member journey across both physical and digital touchpoints.
- Improving the digital experience and using technology to reduce friction and unnecessary administration.
- Ensuring sites are maintained to an exceptionally high standard through effective processes, systems, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Driving site-level commercial performance, including supplier management, procurement, organisational design, and cost optimisation.
- Using data, KPIs, and P&L insight to identify opportunities to improve site economics.
- Supporting new-site expansion, particularly around operational design, layouts, and OPEX.
- Leading the implementation of AI and automation across the organisation to make operations more efficient.
- Owning health & safety, fire safety, compliance, and contractual standards across the portfolio.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
