Director of Operations – Wealth Management

Glasgow | Senior Leadership Opportunity | Highly Competitive Package

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a growing and ambitious wealth management business in a key leadership position.

We are looking for an experienced Director of Operations to take responsibility for the day-to-day operational performance of the business, leading and developing the teams that support its Financial Planners and ensuring clients continue to receive an outstanding level of service.

This is a highly visible role within the senior leadership team and will suit someone who combines strong people leadership with excellent operational and commercial judgement.

The role

You will have responsibility for leading the operational function, creating an environment where people perform at their best and where processes, service standards, and controls support the continued growth of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing operational and support teams
  • Ensuring Financial Planners receive a consistently high level of support
  • Driving operational efficiency and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Developing a high-performance culture with clear accountability and service standards
  • Managing performance through regular 1:1s, coaching, and appraisals
  • Supporting recruitment, succession planning, and the continued development of the team
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across the wider business
  • Ensuring operational processes remain robust, compliant, and client-focused
  • Playing a key role in delivering the firm's wider growth strategy

Who are we looking for?

You will already have significant leadership experience within wealth management, financial planning, or a closely related financial services environment.

You'll be an accomplished people manager who is comfortable leading experienced teams, managing change, and making decisions.

Just as importantly, you'll understand what excellent operational support looks like within a financial planning business and how the right structure, processes, and culture can enable advisers to grow and deliver an exceptional client experience.
