A senior leadership opportunity to build and scale a modern, technology-led outsourced finance business.
Marc Daniels is partnering with a fast-growing professional services business operating an ambitious buy-and-build model to appoint a Director of Outsourcing to lead the growth of its Finance as a Service (FaaS) offering.
This is not a traditional outsourcing role. With P&L ownership, significant commercial autonomy and share options, the successful individual will have the opportunity to genuinely influence the growth and value of the business.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of developing and scaling a high-growth FaaS proposition, with a particular focus on commercial growth and business development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Driving new business and building a strong pipeline of SME clients.
- Developing and executing the commercial growth strategy for FaaS.
- Taking ownership of the division's P&L and overall performance.
- Building relationships with business owners, founders and senior decision-makers.
- Leading and developing the team as client volumes increase.
- Creating scalable processes capable of supporting a high volume and rapidly growing client base.
- Identifying opportunities to expand services and increase value across existing clients.
- Maintaining exceptional service standards as the business scales.

A modern FaaS proposition
A major USP is the business's approach to outsourced finance.
The offering provides SMEs with a scalable finance function – from core accounting and management reporting through to forecasting, commercial insight and CFO-level support.
Cloud accounting, automation and AI compatibility are central to the proposition, creating an efficient, scalable service while allowing the finance team to focus on higher-value insight and client support.
About you
We are particularly interested in speaking with Outsourcing Directors, Business Services Directors, Heads of Outsourcing and ambitious Associate Directors who combine strong outsourced finance experience with genuine commercial capability.

You will ideally have:
- Significant experience within outsourced accounting, business services, FaaS or a similar environment.
- Strong exposure to SME and owner-managed businesses.
- A demonstrable track record of winning clients, growing revenue and developing new business.
- Experience managing and scaling a substantial client portfolio.
- Strong leadership and team development experience.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting, automation and the evolving use of AI within finance.
- A commercial and entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build something of genuine scale.
