Overview
As a Director, Partner Technology, you will lead a team of Partner Technology Strategists responsible for shaping the technology strategy and direction of Microsoft’s strategic partners.
You will combine sales leadership with strong technical credibility, helping partners translate technology strategy into scalable solutions and services that create customer value and business growth. You will guide your team in developing strategic technology roadmaps, identifying and qualifying high-impact opportunities, and helping partners build repeatable offerings across the Microsoft Cloud.
Working closely with partner executives, Partner Development Managers, Microsoft field sales, solution specialists, and Partner Solution Architects, you will connect technical investment with business priorities, pipeline progression, revenue growth, cloud consumption, and marketplace outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Partner Technology Strategists, providing coaching, technical and business guidance, and clear priorities while creating an inclusive environment where people can perform, grow, and succeed.
- Shape partner technology strategies and roadmaps, guiding engagement with partner executives and technical leaders to align technology investments with business priorities, market opportunities, and Microsoft solution strategies.
- Drive the development of scalable partner solutions and services, helping partners create and modernize repeatable offerings across the Microsoft Cloud that contribute to customer value, business growth, and cloud consumption.
- Connect technology strategy to commercial outcomes by aligning technical priorities with sales plans, strategic opportunities, pipeline progression, revenue growth, marketplace opportunities, and partner business objectives.
- Prioritize high-impact technical opportunities, establishing clear qualification and prioritization practices that focus technical capacity where it can have the greatest strategic and business impact.
- Build trusted relationships across the partner ecosystem, working with partner executives, Partner Development Managers, Microsoft sales teams, solution specialists, and Partner Solution Architects to influence technology decisions and enable coordinated execution.
- Scale impact across the partner portfolio by identifying successful solutions, approaches, and practices that can be replicated across partners and markets, while using business and technical insights to continuously improve priorities and execution.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in technology sales, technical sales, technology consulting, partner technology, solution architecture, or another customer- or partner-facing technology role.
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing teams responsible for technical strategy, technology sales, consulting, architecture, or solution development.
- Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders to shape technology strategies, solutions, or transformation initiatives.
- Experience connecting technical solutions and investments with business or commercial outcomes, such as sales opportunities, revenue growth, customer adoption, cloud consumption, or solution commercialization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a partner, cloud technology, software, consulting, systems integration, or technology services environment.
- Experience developing or influencing cross-solution technology strategies and roadmaps across cloud, AI, data, applications, infrastructure, security, or related technology areas.
- Experience helping organizations develop and scale repeatable technology solutions, services, or commercial offerings.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives and influence decisions across business, sales, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of how partner business models, sales motions, technology strategy, and solution development come together to create customer and commercial outcomes.

United Kingdom
- Partner Technology Strategy M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 100,400.00 - £ 200,500.00 per year.
