Our client is one of the most recognisable eCommerce platforms in the UK, built upon solid long term partnerships. As they continue to expand their operations, we've been retained to help them hire a new Director of Partnerships & Performance to take responsibility for the performance, growth and long-term health of their partner portfolio.

A significant leadership role combining strategic partnerships, commercial performance, portfolio growth, negotiation and customer experience, you'll take full ownership of creating relationships where both their partners and the business can thrive.

What you'll be responsible for

  • You'll own the strategy and performance of the portfolio, bringing together relationship leadership and commercial rigour.
  • You'll work closely with the most important partners to improve performance, strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for long-term growth (including leading major renewals and strategic negotiations; improving portfolio quality and commercial performance; and developing new relationships).
  • You'll use data and insight to understand where value is being created and where it's not and make sure the proposition reflects the needs of different types of partners.
  • You'll work across Trading, Pricing, Finance, Growth, Marketing, Product, Data teams to remove friction and continually improve the experience we provide.
  • You'll lead the people behind the partnerships
  • You'll lead and develop the partnership facing teams, including Account Directors and Business Development Directors, creating a culture that combines the relationship strength the company is known for with greater commercial insight and consistency.
  • You'll help the team become even better at understanding partner businesses, using data, demonstrating value and having confident senior-level conversations.

  • You'll have significant experience leading partnerships, commercial relationships or a substantial customer portfolio ideally within leisure, hospitality or another partnership-led industry.
  • You'll be comfortable sitting across the table from a founder or CEO and discussing the performance of their business, as well as leading complex, high-value negotiations when required.
  • You'll understand P&Ls, commercial models and deal economics, but you'll be equally interested in what makes a partner successful and why they choose to continue working with you.
  • You'll know how to use data to tell a compelling story, identify opportunities and make better decisions.
  • And you'll be a strong people leader who can create clarity, raise performance and bring teams with you through change.
