Role Description
The Director of Partnerships, UK/US is a full-time remote role responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with partners across the United Kingdom and United States. This role involves identifying and cultivating new partnership opportunities, stewarding existing partner accounts, and aligning partnership activities with OneSky’s global mission and regional priorities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Leading outreach and proposal development
- Conducting partnership meetings
- Negotiating agreements
- Coordinating with internal teams to deliver on partnership commitments
The Director will collaborate with program, fundraising, and communications colleagues to design joint initiatives, track partnership impact, and report outcomes to stakeholders. The role also includes monitoring relevant markets, representing OneSky at events, and providing strategic input into long-term partnership and growth plans.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across cultures and geographies.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic partnerships and strategic planning, preferably within nonprofit, social impact, or international development sectors.
- Proven account management skills, including relationship stewardship, partner satisfaction, and renewal or expansion of collaborations.
- Sales and business development experience, with the ability to build pipelines, negotiate agreements, and close partnership opportunities.
- Experience working in or with UK and US organizations; understanding of philanthropic, corporate, and institutional funding landscapes is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort using data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Relations, Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management) or equivalent practical experience.
- Commitment to OneSky’s mission of supporting marginalized young children and sensitivity to working across diverse cultural contexts.
