Our client is a multi-faceted business with 3 core trading activities: Transportation, Warehousing & Distribution and Freight Forwarding with a broad base of UK operating brands. With a long standing reputation for exceptional customer service the business continues to grow and has attracted significant Private Equity investment. They are also currently consolidating and merging some of the operating brands to both simplify the business, achieve economies and create a more centralised structure.

The current strategy will see the company continue to grow both organically and via strategic acquisitions and as such there is the need to invest in a high caliber Director/Head of People responsible for designing, leading, and executing the organisation’s People strategy to support business goals, talent management & retention and cultural alignment across newly acquired businesses. This role is pivotal in preparing the business for future sale while ensuring the people feel valued, supported, and engaged throughout the journey. As such we are looking for a real self- starter and preferably someone with experience of working across a complex business structure with a multitude of diverse operating brands.
