Are you a senior People leader who wants to make a real organisational impact?
Newcross Healthcare is looking for an experienced Director of People & Culture to lead our People strategy and help shape how we attract, develop, support and retain our people as we continue to evolve and grow.
This is a high-impact role, working closely with our Executive Leadership Team and Board to ensure our people, culture, leadership and organisational structure support our strategic and commercial ambitions.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead our People & Culture function across:
- People strategy β creating and delivering a clear, commercially focused People strategy.
- Strategic partnering β working with senior leaders to improve leadership capability, performance, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness.
- Organisation & workforce design β ensuring we have the right structures, skills and capacity for the future.
- Employee relations & risk β providing senior oversight of complex ER matters and employment risk.
- Culture & engagement β strengthening colleague experience, engagement and inclusive leadership.
- Talent & leadership β developing succession, talent and management capability.
- People governance β ensuring strong policies, processes, compliance and audit readiness.
- Clinical governance β providing senior oversight and ensuring workforce learning supports safe, high-quality services.
- People insight β using data to identify trends, risks and opportunities and turn insight into action.

You'll also lead and develop a multidisciplinary People team, manage the People budget and help transition the function towards a more regionally aligned, commercially focused People Partnering model.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a senior People professional with:
- Significant leadership experience in HR, People & Culture or a comparable function
- Experience delivering People strategy in a complex, regulated or multi-site organisation
- Strong, current knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations
- Significant organisational change and restructuring experience
- Experience advising Executive and senior leadership teams
- Strong commercial awareness and workforce planning capability
- Experience leading and developing a multidisciplinary People team
- Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A pragmatic, evidence-led approach and the confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders

Experience in healthcare, social care, CQC-regulated environments or Clinical Governance would be advantageous.
