Director of People & Culture

Location: Remote, with regular UK travel as required

Function: People & Culture

Reporting to: Co-Founder & Co chair

Salary: Up to £75,000

Help shape the future of People & Culture at Newcross

We're looking for an experienced Director of People & Culture to lead our People strategy and help shape how we attract, develop, support and retain our people as Newcross continues to grow and evolve.

Working closely with our Executive Leadership Team and Board, you'll ensure our people, culture, leadership capability and organisational structure support our strategic and commercial ambitions.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead our People & Culture function across:

  • People Strategy – developing and delivering a clear, commercially focused People strategy.
  • Strategic Partnering – working with senior leaders on workforce planning, organisational design, performance, succession and change.
  • Culture & Engagement – strengthening colleague experience, engagement and inclusive leadership.
  • Talent & Leadership – developing leadership capability, talent and succession planning.
  • Employee Relations & Risk – providing senior oversight of complex employee relations and employment risk.
  • Governance & Compliance – ensuring robust People policies, processes and employment practices.
  • Clinical Governance – providing senior oversight and connecting workforce capability, safeguarding and organisational assurance.
  • People Insight – using workforce data to identify trends, risks and opportunities and turn insight into action.

You'll also lead and develop a multidisciplinary People team, manage the People budget and help move the function towards a more regionally aligned and commercially focused People Partnering model.

What you'll bring

You'll be a senior People leader with experience of:

  • Delivering People strategy within a complex, regulated or multi-site organisation.
  • Leading significant organisational change and restructures.
  • Advising Executive and senior leadership teams.
  • UK employment law and complex employee relations.
  • Workforce planning, organisational design and leadership development.
  • Leading and developing multidisciplinary People teams.
  • Using data and insight to influence organisational decisions.
  • Building trusted relationships while constructively challenging when needed.

Experience in healthcare, social care, CQC-regulated environments or Clinical Governance would be advantageous.
