Location: Homebased

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £80,000

The Director of People & Culture role

Part of the People & Culture team, the Director of People & Culture is a pivotal role for driving innovation at Migrant Help. You will be responsible for delivering strategic plans and the provision of strong strategic and operational leadership to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the full range of services within the People and Culture team.

You will be a dynamic, results-driven leader, with a passion for making a difference, ensuring these functions support the achievement of the strategic goals of Migrant Help and its subsidiary.


Key responsibilities of our Director of People & Culture

Strategic

  • Working in partnership with the Chief People Officer, Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees, to successfully implement and monitor the strategic plans
  • Lead the delivery of the People Strategy across the People and Culture Team

Leadership

  • Develop and maintain structures, systems and processes, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and appropriate to the size and nature of the work of Migrant Help
  • Provide excellent management of Migrant Help’s resources to include all staffing under the postholder’s control

Operational

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across functions of the People and Culture Team
  • Take responsibility and accountability for the financial management of budgets across all services within the People and Culture Team

The experience and skills you need

  • Demonstrable previous experience in a senior People and Culture role.
  • Excellent demonstrable knowledge across the breadth of the People and Culture portfolio.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing people matters at a senior level in line with excellent knowledge of best practice, budget management and strategic planning
  • Experience of consultation, negotiation and influencing different stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, able to analyse situations and focus on achieving solutions
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative information to provide assurance on data integrity.
