Director of Performance Marketing

London - hybrid - 2-3x a week in office

Up to £200,000 plus high six-figure equity

This is a rare opportunity to shape the growth engine of a fast-scaling consumer business. You will take ownership of performance marketing strategy at a pivotal moment, driving the shift from aggregator-led acquisition to a multi-product, app-first ecosystem with millions of users.

The Company

They are a digital consumer brand entering its next phase of growth, expanding from strong foundations into a scaled, multi-product platform. Over the last 18 months they have invested heavily in brand, creative, customer AI, and app-led growth, with performance marketing emerging as a critical capability. They are now building a strategic layer that links daily performance activity to wider commercial ambitions, profitability, and long-term user growth.

The Role

As Director of Performance Marketing, you will set the strategic direction for how the business acquires and grows high-value customers. You will work closely with senior leadership to build confidence in performance marketing as a growth engine.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning the long-term performance marketing strategy across all app acquisition channels
  • Building clear measurement, tracking, and operating models that connect channel activity to commercial outcomes
  • Leading a high-performing performance team, including an established executional lead and agency partners
  • Scaling paid media across Meta, Google, Apple Search and emerging channels
  • Creating frameworks for incrementality, experimentation, and test-and-learn best practice
  • Partnering closely with Product, Customer Analytics, LTV, and MarTech to drive full-funnel growth
  • Embedding AI-driven optimization and workflow improvements

Your Skills and Experience

You will bring:

  • A strong background in tech or consumer tech businesses
  • Deep understanding of high-value app acquisition and digital growth funnels
  • Ability to think strategically and connect performance activity to unit economics and long-term commercial goals
  • Confidence managing large budgets and blended in-house/agency delivery models
  • Strong numerical capability, ideally with a STEM background
  • Experience building measurement frameworks and performance operating models
  • A mindset that looks beyond channels to the full customer journey and ecosystem
