We're a FTSE company with iconic brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, BetMGM, Eurobet, and bwin, and we have an energy that drives us to perform at the height of our potential. Whether you're an engineer, marketer, or retail specialist, a career here is a complete game changer.
Job Description
This is a hybrid role. As a Head of Marketing Analytics & Data Science, you will be responsible for bringing together performance marketing analytics, customer value analytics, and marketing data science into a single, high-performing function. You'll shape the strategy, operating model, and priorities for the team, ensuring data-driven insights translate into meaningful commercial decisions across customer acquisition, marketing investment, and long-term customer value.
Reporting to the Group Analytics Director
You will be part of the Group Analytics Leadership Team, leading a team of approximately 15-20 analysts, data scientists, and team leads. You will set the direction for the function, connect performance measurement, experimentation, and customer value analytics, and provide actionable recommendations to Marketing, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders. You will also play a key role in developing leaders, creating a culture of accountability, and empowering teams to make effective decisions with confidence.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established team with strong foundations, a modern data platform, and direct influence over major commercial decisions across multiple brands and regulated markets. You'll work closely with senior and executive stakeholders, championing data-led thinking and helping shape how Entain invests in growth. If you're passionate about building high-performing teams and turning analytics into measurable business impact, could this be your next leadership challenge?
You Will:
- Lead and unify Performance Marketing Analytics, Customer Value Analytics, and Marketing Data Science into a single operating model with clear priorities, ownership, and accountability.
- Define the strategy and roadmap for the function, focusing resources on the highest-value opportunities to drive commercial impact.
- Shape the analytical frameworks that guide marketing investment decisions, including attribution, experimentation, customer value, incrementality, and optimisation, turning insight into clear business recommendations.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Technology, and Data leadership to ensure analytics is embedded in decision-making and delivers measurable outcomes.
- Establish robust governance for analytical products and models, including ownership, validation, monitoring, and ongoing performance management.
- Work closely with Data Engineering and Technology teams to develop the data foundations required for effective measurement, optimisation, and customer insights.
- Lead organisational design, talent development, succession planning, and performance management across the function, building a high-performing leadership team.
- Manage the function's budget, tooling, and vendor relationships, making strategic build-versus-buy decisions that maximise value.
- Present recommendations and outcomes to executive stakeholders, translating complex analysis into clear commercial actions.
- Champion the responsible use of customer data, ensuring compliance with regulatory, privacy, and safer gambling requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications
You Have:
- Proven experience leading analytics, data science, or marketing effectiveness teams, including managing managers and senior specialists.
- Strong expertise across marketing, customer, and commercial analytics, including measurement, experimentation, forecasting, and optimisation.
- Track record of building high-performing teams and operating models with clear accountability and prioritisation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence commercial decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Experience partnering with senior Marketing, Commercial, and Finance stakeholders across complex organisations.
- Technical fluency in modern analytics environments, including cloud data platforms, SQL, Python, and/or R.
- Experience working with digital marketing data, attribution, customer identity, conversion, and acquisition metrics.
- Experience operating across multiple markets, brands, or business units in a fast-paced consumer-focused environment. Experience in gaming, ecommerce, subscription, travel, fintech, or other high-volume consumer businesses is advantageous. Regulated industry experience is a plus but not essential.
Competencies / Behaviours
- Commercial judgement: focuses on decisions and outcomes rather than analytical activity.
- Clear ownership: creates explicit accountability and does not allow important questions to be passed between teams.
- Leadership range: can go deep enough to make a call, then delegates execution and develops others to lead.
- Constructive challenge: is comfortable disagreeing with senior stakeholders and changes position when the evidence changes.
- Clarity: explains complex methods, uncertainty, and trade-offs in straightforward business language.
- Pragmatism: chooses approaches that are proportionate, maintainable, and usable, not simply technically impressive.
- Collaboration: builds strong cross-functional relationships without creating vague shared ownership.
- Integrity: handles customer data, commercial decisions, and regulatory obligations responsibly.

What success looks like in year one
- The three capabilities operate as one function, with a single roadmap and clear decisions on what is owned centrally, locally, or by partner teams.
- Marketing, Commercial, and Finance use the function's recommendations in planning and investment decisions, with assumptions and outcomes visible.
- Attribution, customer value, experimentation, and data science outputs are connected into a coherent decision process.
- Analytical products and models have named owners, validation, and monitoring standards, and practical support arrangements.
- Team leads make more decisions independently, and there is a credible succession and capability plan for the function.
