Director of Policy & Research
The College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH)
📍 Location: London Bridge / Hybrid working
💼 Contract: 6-month temporary contract (with possibility of going permanent)
💰 Salary: £70k - £75k
An exciting opportunity to shape national healthcare policy, influence clinical practice and drive meaningful change in sexual and reproductive healthcare across the UK.
The College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH) is seeking an experienced and influential Director of Policy & Research to join its senior leadership team.
As the leading professional membership organisation in sexual and reproductive healthcare, CoSRH sets clinical standards, provides education and training, and champions safe, effective and equitable healthcare for all.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead the College's policy, research and evidence agenda, strengthening its influence across all four UK nations and ensuring that clinical evidence, professional expertise and patient perspectives inform national policy and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering influential policy, research and engagement strategies.
- Building strong relationships with government, NHS bodies, policymakers, academic institutions and professional organisations.
- Leading national advocacy and influencing activity to improve healthcare access, equity and outcomes.
- Overseeing evidence-based policy outputs and supporting the development of clinical guidelines and standards.
- Leading and developing a high-performing policy and research team.
- Contributing to the College's wider organisational strategy as a member of the senior leadership team.
About You
You will bring substantial senior-level experience in policy, research, public affairs or evidence-based influencing, ideally gained within healthcare, a professional membership body, the public sector, a charity or a related organisation.
With a strong understanding of UK healthcare policy and decision-making, you will have a proven track record of developing impactful strategies, influencing senior stakeholders and translating complex evidence into meaningful policy recommendations.

You will be a collaborative and credible leader, with excellent communication skills, strong political awareness and a genuine commitment to improving healthcare outcomes and reducing inequalities.
Previous experience in sexual and reproductive healthcare would be advantageous but is not essential.
