Explore your full potential

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Director of Practice & Clinical Standards to lead The Veterinary Centre Glasgow, a long-established small animal practice with deep roots in Glasgow's West End. Established in 1945 and proudly part of inspiring vet care since 2019, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven, forward-thinking veterinary leader to shape the future of a thriving practice.

In this role you'll work closely with an experienced and engaged team to drive clinical excellence, support practice performance, and create an environment where colleagues feel empowered to deliver exceptional patient and client care. You'll lead from the front, balancing your own clinical work with strategic leadership, mentoring your team and continually developing the practice.

This role is backed by an experienced team of 17 colleagues, all committed to providing outstanding care. If you're an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step into a true leadership position, or an established Clinical Director looking for a fresh challenge, we'd love to hear from you.

Leadership with balance

We understand that great leaders need a healthy work-life balance too. This full-time position is based around 40 hours over 4 days from a 6-day working week, offering an excellent balance between leadership responsibilities and clinical work. There is a 1 in 5 weekend rota, with no out-of-hours or on-call commitments, allowing you to enjoy your time outside of work.

Lead a practice that's investing in the future

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
