Director of Procurement

You will be leading the Procurement Strategy for Skanska UK as the Director of Procurement, ensuring that procurement is positioned and delivered as a strategic resource.

As the Director of Procurement, you will:

  • Develop and implement long-term business plan for Skanska UK Procurement. 
  • Contribute significantly to the wider Business Unit business plan, particularly in relation to operational efficiency. 
  • Drive procurement innovation through industry knowledge, technology and benchmarking.
  • Ensure procurement is positioned and delivered as a strategic resource to the business
  • Maintain Procurement as the centre of excellence for procurement and supply chain across Skanska UK

We are looking for:

  • Significant senior leadership experience in procurement, supply chain and commercial management.
  • Evidence of developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Experience of leading change and embedding best practice processes, systems and governance.
  • Proven track record of leading a strategic procurement or supply chain function in a large, complex organisation
  • Vast experience in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing and supply chain development.
  • Experience of managing substantial budgets and influencing high-value third-party spend.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and retain high-performing teams
