Role

We’re partnering with a high-growth fintech business looking for a Director of Product to take ownership of a strategically important area of its consumer financial products.

This is a senior, hands-on product leadership role with responsibility across Spend, Credit, and Payments, combining product strategy with commercial ownership and day-to-day involvement in discovery and execution.

You’ll have the opportunity to shape products used at scale, launch new propositions from 0–1, and optimise existing customer journeys, while working closely with senior stakeholders across Engineering, Design, Data, Credit Risk, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product strategy across Spend, Credit, and Payments.
  • Own the commercial performance and P&L of your product portfolio.
  • Drive key growth and commercial metrics while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
  • Lead the development and launch of new products and propositions from 0–1.
  • Optimise and scale existing purchase, payment, and repayment journeys.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk to develop product strategy within agreed risk guardrails.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design throughout discovery, development, and delivery.
  • Balance longer-term product strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Use customer insight, data, and experimentation to inform product decisions and improve performance.
  • Develop and coach Product Managers, setting high standards across discovery, delivery, and stakeholder management.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on product strategy, commercial objectives, and investment priorities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why should I apply?

This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of a core product area within a fast-moving fintech environment.

You’ll have genuine influence over what gets built, why it gets built, and how it performs commercially, rather than operating in a role focused purely on strategy or people management.

The scope brings together Spend, Credit, and Payments, making this particularly interesting for someone who understands how these areas combine to create strong consumer financial products.

You’ll have P&L responsibility, the opportunity to build new propositions from 0–1, and the remit to shape both existing products and future product strategy. The position also provides significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence the direction of the wider Product function.
