The Role: Director of Product Design

We’re seeking a Director of Product Design to elevate Fenergo’s design function across our enterprise portfolio. This leadership role builds, aligns, and scales product design to turn complex financial workflows into intuitive, scalable, and impactful solutions for global financial institutions.

Your vision will redefine how users engage with regulatory and compliance platforms in modern FinTech. You’ll collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Customer teams, shaping the future of this mission-critical software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define Vision, Drive Strategy Align UX and workflow expertise with Fenergo’s product vision and business growth.

  • Redesign Journeys & Processes Craft end-to-end user journeys and operational workflows that simplify financial crime detection, onboarding, and regulatory processes.

  • User Collaboration Partner with end users and internal teams to co-create solutions, uncovering pain points and transforming constraints into innovative design outcomes.

  • Build & Scale Design Teams Lead a high-performing product design function, mentoring talent, and fostering design excellence through ownership and collaborative frameworks.

  • Institute Best Practices Establish scalable processes, standards, and outcome-focused design strategies to boost efficiency and impact.

  • Cross-Function Collaboration Garner executive support. Align product roadmaps with Product and Engineering teams to ensure feasible, high-quality outcomes.

  • Design System Advocacy Drive the development of a consistent, modifiable design system that supports rapid iteration and global coherence.

  • Cohesive User Experiences Ensure intuitive, scalable UX across enterprise-grade, configurable SaaS—balancing complexity with user ease.

  • Strategy & Change Leadership Champion design as a strategic competency, advancing workflow innovation and regulatory agility.

  • Impact Measurement Track and improve upon design’s contribution via user engagement, workflow efficiency, and business metrics.


Requirements

  • Senior Design Leadership Proven Director or Head of Design experience with hands-on ownership of design vision and strategy.

  • B2B SaaS Expertise Exceptional background in simplifying workflow-heavy, data-dense enterprise products, not just UX interfaces.

  • Strategic Design Thinking Ability to transform complex systems and balance creative ambition with viable, impactful solutions.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Alignment Direct experience working with external users or customers, shaping products based on real-world feedback.

  • Team & Culture Building Track record of launching and scaling high-performing design teams, ensuring excellence, innovation, and accountability.

  • Deep Design Proficiency Strong mastery of UX, product design, service design, and design system practices.

  • Executive Influence Twinning strategic vision with pragmatic delivery while navigating agile, multi-team environments.
