We're working with a leading international investment manager to appoint a Head of Product Development within its Public Markets business.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who enjoys the product development process from end to end. You'll work closely with Investment and Distribution teams to assess new ideas, build commercial business cases and lead products through governance, implementation and launch. You'll also manage a small team of experienced Product Development professionals, helping to develop individuals whilst providing technical leadership across the function.
The role would suit someone who enjoys the delivery side of product. Alongside traditional fund launches, there is a strong focus on innovation, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with exposure to ETFs and an interest in how the product landscape continues to evolve.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of new public markets investment products from concept through to launch.
- Work closely with Investment and Distribution teams to assess new product opportunities.
- Build commercial business cases and present recommendations through governance committees.
- Coordinate implementation with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations and other key stakeholders.
- Manage and coach a small team of experienced Product Development professionals.
- Build strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continued evolution of the firm's product offering.

About You
You'll already have a strong background in product development within asset management and will have been involved in bringing investment products to market across European fund structures.
We're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
- End-to-end product development experience within public markets.
- Strong knowledge of UCITS and European fund structures.
- Experience building commercial business cases and leading products through governance.
- Previous people management or coaching experience.
- The confidence to influence senior investment and commercial stakeholders.
- Exposure to ETF product development, ideally having been involved in bringing ETFs to market.
- Curiosity around new product structures and industry innovation.
