A career with the IB is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to work with an innovative world leader in education services where we empower our employees to thrive and make a difference.

About the job

The IB is undertaking a major digital transformation, re-shaping the digital landscape of our IB ecosystem in order to enable our learning community to flourish in the AI age. The Director of Product Management is an IB product leader accountable for translating strategic intent, customer needs and technology investment into coherent, outcome-focused digital products and services. This role provides enterprise-level product leadership for the Schools and Educators domain, ensuring that product strategy, prioritisation, roadmaps and lifecycle decisions are aligned to the highest-impact outcomes for the IB’s 2M+ students, 6,000+ schools and 70,000+ educators across 160 countries.

This role has enterprise accountability for the product management discipline across digital products serving educators, school groups, school districts and government customers, working closely with engineering, UX, data, IT, digital partnerships, business owners and portfolio leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set and own product strategy and domain-level roadmaps for the Schools and Educators domain, translating IB strategy, user needs and market insight into clear product outcomes.
  • Lead evidence-based prioritisation and shape product investment choices, expected outcomes, benefits, trade-offs and lifecycle implications for executive governance.
  • Hold accountability for integrated product portfolio performance, including value realisation, adoption, risk, dependencies, quality and return on investment.
  • Ensure product decisions are grounded in deep understanding of schools, educators, school groups, districts, government customers, market trends and operational realities.
  • Align product, engineering, UX, data, IT, digital partnerships and business stakeholders around shared outcomes, sequencing, commitments and decision rights.
  • Embed appropriate AI capabilities into product development and customer-facing digital experiences, with responsible design, measurable user value and operational readiness.
  • Lead product management transformation across the domain, embedding product-led ways of working focused on outcomes, evidence, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Develop clear executive product narratives and reporting covering direction, choices, progress, customer impact, risks, dependencies and value realisation.
  • Lead through senior product leaders, establishing clear accountabilities, standards, development pathways and product leadership capability across the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
