We’re looking for a Director of Product & Technology to bring together product management and engineering across Love2shop. This is a senior leadership opportunity to shape how products are discovered, built, launched and continually improved, while creating clear roadmaps that connect customer needs, commercial priorities and measurable outcomes.

You’ll lead the simplification of the Love2shop technology estate, strengthening resilience, security and service performance. Working closely with commercial, operational and Group technology teams, you’ll create an integrated, product-led operating model with clear ownership, disciplined governance and a strong focus on customer and business outcomes.

  • Build and embed a strong product management model covering product vision, discovery, customer insight, roadmaps, release readiness and lifecycle performance.
  • Own the Love2shop product roadmap process, translating commercial priorities into coherent and deliverable product and technology plans.
  • Design and implement an integrated product and engineering operating model with clear ownership from discovery through to delivery, operation and continuous improvement.
  • Lead engineering delivery across Love2shop products and platforms, improving quality, predictability and speed of change.
  • Create and deliver a technology simplification roadmap that reduces complexity, duplication and technical debt.
  • Deliver a sustainable £1 million annual technology operating expenditure reduction through simplification, rationalisation, automation and improved operating discipline.
  • Strengthen standards across architecture, CI/CD, testing, security by design, observability, release governance and change control.
  • Take accountability for platform availability, operational resilience, monitoring, incident readiness and service management outcomes.
  • Ensure technology platforms meet appropriate security, data protection, audit, risk and operational resilience requirements.
  • Build an effective product and engineering organisation with clear accountabilities, decision rights and leadership responsibilities.
  • Develop product and engineering capability, succession plans and a culture focused on ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Commercial, Client Success, Operations, Finance, Risk, Legal, Security, Infrastructure and Group Technology teams.
  • Establish transparent governance using roadmaps, quarterly planning, OKRs, delivery health measures and product value metrics.
  • Ensure investment decisions balance commercial value, scalability, security, resilience, cost to serve and cost to change.
  • Use automation, data and AI-enabled ways of working to improve product insight, engineering productivity and operational efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
