Director of Project Delivery - CAT B office fit out
The Shore Group has been engaged to identify a Director of Project Delivery for one of the UK's most respected Design & Build contractors.
We are seeking an experienced office fit-out professional with a proven track record of delivering complex workplace projects and leading high-performing delivery teams. Someone who is respected for their technical expertise, trusted to solve problems, and capable of driving exceptional project outcomes in demanding environments.
Working closely with the Board and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the delivery function, ensuring projects are safely delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest possible standards. You will provide leadership, support, and direction to Project Directors, Project Managers, and site teams, while maintaining a visible presence across key projects and client accounts.
This opportunity has been created for a high-performing individual currently operating within a leading Design & Build environment who has outgrown their current remit and is seeking a role with greater influence, leadership responsibility, and the opportunity to shape the delivery strategy of a highly successful business.

Key Highlights
- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of high-profile workplace fit-out projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Provide leadership and support to Project Directors, Project Managers, and site-based teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and in line with programme commitments
- Take ownership of delivery performance, project controls, and operational excellence across the business
- Work closely with pre-construction teams to identify risks, shape delivery strategies, and ensure successful project mobilisation
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex construction, programme, and delivery challenges
- Develop and implement best practice throughout project delivery, planning, and construction management
- Play a key role in developing future project leadership talent across the business

Due to the senior nature of this role, you will ideally demonstrate:
- A proven track record within a leading Design & Build office fit-out business
- Extensive experience delivering complex construction projects valued between £5m and £25m+ which MUST include CAT B Office projects
- Extensive experience leading Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site teams
- The ability to identify and mitigate programme, design, and construction risks before they impact project outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the credibility to engage clients and professional teams
