Director of Property and Assets – Social Housing – North Wales – Interim – Inside IR35

Venn Group are recruiting for an experienced Director of Property and Assets to join a Social Housing organisation in North Wales on an ongoing interim contract. This Director of Property and Assets role requires strong Director level experience across asset management, repairs and maintenance, with a clear track record of strategic leadership, operational delivery, and service improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Director of Property and Assets, Director of Assets, Director of Repairs and Maintenance, or senior Property Director who can lead large scale property services and drive performance across a busy housing portfolio.

The role

As Director of Property and Assets, you will provide strategic leadership across property services, asset management, repairs, maintenance, and operational delivery. The Director of Property and Assets will work closely with executive colleagues to ensure homes are safe, well maintained, and aligned to long-term asset priorities.

The role will focus on driving performance, improving service delivery, and ensuring repairs and maintenance services are efficient, customer-focused, and well controlled.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction across property services, assets, repairs, and maintenance
  • Oversee asset management, planned investment, and repairs delivery
  • Drive performance improvement across responsive repairs and maintenance services
  • Provide senior leadership to property, assets, and operational teams
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across housing stock
  • Lead service improvement programmes and embed efficient operational processes
  • Manage budgets, contractor performance, and value for money across property services
  • Use performance data to identify issues, improve delivery, and support decision making
  • Work with senior stakeholders to align asset priorities with wider business objectives
  • Support customer-focused improvements across repairs, maintenance, and asset services

About you

  • Director level experience across assets, repairs, and maintenance within Social Housing
  • Proven track record operating as a Director of Property and Assets, Director of Assets, Director of Property Services, or equivalent
  • Strong strategic leadership and operational delivery experience
  • Experience driving performance and service improvement across property functions
  • Strong understanding of asset management, repairs, maintenance, and compliance
  • Confident leading teams, managing budgets, and influencing senior stakeholders
  • Available to start by late August at the latest
  • Able to commit to 2 to 3 days office presence in North Wales
