Salary: £108,465 per annum (pro rata)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Statutory Director of Public Health
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Public Health and Communities to provide strategic leadership across public health, prevention, community wellbeing and leisure services. This is a high-profile system leadership role with the opportunity to influence long-term health and wellbeing outcomes, tackle health inequalities, and drive innovation across communities.

This position combines statutory public health responsibilities with a broader portfolio focused on prevention, wellbeing and community services. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a wide range of partners to deliver a neighbourhood-based approach, improve population health outcomes and shape strategic policy at local and regional levels.

You will be a credible and influential senior leader with a strong track record of partnership working, strategic thinking and delivering tangible improvements in public health and wellbeing.

Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register (Public Health Medicine) with a licence to practise, the GDC Specialist List, or the UK Public Health Register at specialist level. Membership of the Faculty of Public Health (or equivalent) is essential.
