About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Director of Quality to lead quality, governance and regulatory compliance across a growing group of health, social care and children's services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and embedding a culture of outstanding quality across all regulated services, ensuring compliance with:
- Care Quality Commission (CQC)
- Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
- Care Inspectorate Scotland
- Ofsted
- Local Authority Contract Standards
- NHS Quality Standards
- Safeguarding legislation
- Health & Social Care legislation
This role is far more than compliance. You will shape the organisation's quality strategy, improve outcomes for the people we support, drive operational excellence, prepare services for inspection, and ensure every service strives towards Outstanding or equivalent ratings.
Responsibilities
Quality Leadership
- Develop and implement the Group Quality Strategy.
- Create a culture focused on continuous improvement rather than inspection readiness.
- Ensure quality standards are consistently applied across every service.
- Lead organisational governance frameworks.
- Drive measurable improvements in quality outcomes.
- Act as the executive lead for all quality matters.

Regulatory Compliance

Provide strategic oversight for all regulatory bodies including:

Ensure all services:
- Maintain full regulatory compliance
- Meet all registration requirements
- Prepare effectively for inspections
- Successfully respond to enforcement actions
- Maintain robust governance systems
- Deliver action plans following inspections
Inspection Excellence

Lead the organisation through inspections by:
- Conducting mock inspections
- Reviewing evidence files
- Monitoring Quality Statements
- Preparing managers
- Supporting inspection visits
- Leading post-inspection improvement programmes

- Outstanding (CQC)
- Excellent (Care Inspectorate)
- Excellent (CIW)
- Outstanding (Ofsted)
Governance
- Lead:
- Clinical Governance
