Allerton Bishop Search is partnering with a private equity backed pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation to appoint a Director of Quality.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control strategy for a key site in England. The Director of Quality will lead the business through a period of significant investment and provide strategic, stable leadership to the quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across Site Quality, ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a senior leadership team including Head of QA, Head of QC, a team of Qualified Persons (QP) and Quality Managers.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Technical, and Supply Chain leaders to embed a culture of quality excellence across a complex UK operation supporting local and international markets.
- As the Director of Quality, you will act as the primary point of contact for UK and European health authorities, including MHRA and FDA overseeing inspections and regulatory interactions.
- Drive continuous improvement of quality systems, processes, and digitalisation initiatives to strengthen long-term quality infrastructure.

- Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing is essential.
- Deep knowledge of GMP regulations and industry best practices.
- Proven Quality leadership experience managing managers and/or department heads.
- QP status is advantageous but not essential.
