Help shape the future of a national charity.
Are you an experienced strategic leader who thrives on leading change, building partnerships and creating lasting impact?
At Spinal Injuries Association (SIA), we're entering an ambitious new phase of our Strategy 2030 journey. As a member of our Executive Team, our new Director of Regional Engagement will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation and transforming how we support people affected by spinal cord injury across the UK.
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most significant developments in SIA's recent history. Working alongside the CEO and Executive Team, you will help shape organisational strategy, culture and delivery, while leading the development of a sustainable national network of regional partnerships, volunteers, community groups and support services.
If you're excited by the prospect of building something that will leave a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a diverse portfolio encompassing regional support services, volunteering, partnerships, community development and people leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
