Women's Pioneer is looking for a Director of Resources.
An opportunity to achieve your first Executive role.
About Our Client
These are exciting times at Women's Pioneer Housing (WPH) as we continue to grow and expect to achieve over 1,000 social housing homes in October.
Founded in 1920 by suffragists, who understood the importance of providing women with good quality affordable homes of their own, as part of their wider fight for women's equality.
Today, we continue to challenge gender inequality and provide much-needed homes for single women including our new high rise building in Ealing.
We own around 1,000 properties in West London, including some leasehold and shared ownership flats. Most are studio or one-bedroom flats in large, converted Victorian or Edwardian buildings, many of which are listed or in Conservation Areas.
We are seeking a Director of Resources to lead a broad portfolio including finance, governance, risk, people, IT and business support services. This is a unique opportunity within the housing sector to join our Executive Team and play a key role in shaping our future.
Job Description
- Strategic leadership of corporate services, ensuring finance, governance, people, technology and business support functions work effectively to support the organisation's goals.
- Oversight of financial performance and sustainability, including business planning, budgeting and treasury management.
- Leadership of governance, risk and compliance, providing assurance to the Board and Executive Team and ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations.
- Development of effective systems and processes, supporting strong decision-making, operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the organisation.
- Leadership and development of people and teams, creating a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture that delivers excellent services and outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
