Job Description
Role Overview:
Enterprise Risk Analytics at Wise is a critical capability. As we scale, the requirements for data-driven risk management are evolving. We need a talented Analytics Director to build and own our measurement frameworks, infrastructure, and reporting, ensuring audit-ready reporting and shared 1st/2nd line data governance. This role is highly strategic, focused on enabling the business to measure and manage risk across the full spectrum of major fintech risk domains.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the strategy and execution of the Enterprise Risk Analytics roadmap while coaching a high-performing team.
- Standardise risk metric calculation logic, KRIs/KPIs, and attribution logic while implementing sign-off processes to ensure data integrity.
- Partner with Data/Engineering to align instrumentation and data models with risk monitoring needs, ensuring reliable pipelines with clear data lineage.
- Drive insight-to-action loops, quantifying trade-offs between risk reduction, customer impact, and cost.
- Establish shared governance cadences (metric councils, steering groups) and foster 1st/2nd line collaboration to prevent drift across lines of defence.
- Provide analytics leadership for Financial, Fincrime, Ops, Resilience, and Reg stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
