About Mutherboard
Mutherboard is an automation and integrations company focused on delivering operational excellence through smart automation.
We are a monday.com partner delivering high-impact implementations for UK and international clients. We also build AI agents, workflows, and integrations that replace spreadsheet-driven processes with scalable, connected systems.
Our operating values are GRIT:
- Growth — We push ourselves, our clients, and our numbers.
- Resilience — We find a way forward and get things done.
- Innovation — We ship, iterate, and prototype quickly.
- Teamwork — We win as one team, not as individuals.
The Role
We’re hiring a Director of Sales to own our commercial engine end-to-end.
You will lead a combined New Business and Renewals function of 9–10 people through two Heads of Department, own the overall sales number, and be accountable for raising standards, closing performance gaps, and keeping the pipeline moving.
This is a hands-on leadership role. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable operating in the detail — coaching teams, reviewing deals, challenging forecasts, identifying gaps, and driving consistent performance — while also having the commercial and strategic capability to shape how we sell, price, and grow over the next 2–3 years.
What You’ll Own
Commercial Performance
- Own new business, renewal, and expansion revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline health, and board-level commercial reporting.
- Lead deal strategy and provide executive sponsorship on strategic and complex opportunities.
- Own key commercial metrics including win rate, sales cycle, ACV, retention, and net revenue retention.
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable two Heads of Department: New Business and Renewals.
- Enable your Heads of Department to lead their teams effectively without stepping over them.
- Build a high-performance culture where standards are clear, visible, and consistently coached.
- Own hiring, onboarding, ramp-up, performance management, and succession planning across the sales organisation.
Operating Rhythm
- Establish and maintain weekly pipeline, forecasting, and 1:1 cadences with the two Heads of Department.
- Lead monthly commercial reviews with the Managing Director and leadership team.
- Own quarterly planning, including quota setting, territory design, compensation plans, and capacity modelling.
- Own the sales playbook, qualification framework, and sales stage definitions within monday.com.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Numerate and commercially confident, able to defend a forecast, model a compensation plan, and understand commercial performance.
- Confident engaging with C-level buyers and internal leadership.
- Aligned with our GRIT values and committed to creating a high-performance, accountable team culture.
