Permanent, full-time

Lead a national specialist housing sales function and help shape the future of housing for older people.

At Anchor, buying a property is about much more than completing a sale. Many customers are leaving homes they’ve lived in for decades. Our teams guide them through that change with empathy, expertise and practical support.

About the role

As Director of Sales, you’ll lead our national sales function and oversee the marketing activity that builds customer demand.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development, you’ll influence decisions at senior and Board level. You’ll shape sales, marketing and customer experience across:

  • Anchor Shared Ownership
  • Older Persons Shared Ownership
  • Outright sale homes

You’ll lead through an experienced team covering sales operations, marketing, compliance, customer acquisition and market intelligence. You’ll build on existing performance while driving sustainable growth and continuous improvement.

What you’ll lead

  • A national specialist housing sales operation and a programme of more than 400 homes.
  • Sales and marketing strategies that improve performance and customer experience.
  • Commercial planning across a significant pipeline of future activity.
  • Collaboration across sales, marketing, compliance and customer acquisition.
  • A culture that combines accountability for results with genuine understanding of customers’ needs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
