About the Role

KANDMTRAVEL.CO.UK is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales Airline to lead the commercial expansion of our airline‑focused accommodation and disruption‑response division across the UK. This senior role is dedicated exclusively to the airline sector, with full responsibility for developing strategic partnerships, driving revenue, and strengthening our position as a trusted provider of disruption solutions, IROPS housing, crew accommodation and rapid‑response.

This is a UK‑based leadership position requiring deep airline‑sector knowledge, strong procurement relationships, and proven experience supporting airlines during both normal operations and irregular operations (IROPS).

Primary Objective

To establish KANDMTRAVEL.CO.UK as the preferred UK partner for airline disruption (IROPS) solutions and crew accommodation, delivering strategic account growth, operational excellence, and industry‑leading response capability during both planned and irregular operations.

Key Responsibilities

Airline Disruption & Crew Leadership

  • Lead and grow KANDM’s UK airline portfolio with a focus on disrupted passenger housing, emergency response solutions, and crew accommodation.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with disruption‑management needs and airline crew‑logistics, network operations.
  • Identify new commercial opportunities across UK airline networks, including night‑stop requirements, IROPS‑driven demand, and crew bases.
  • Monitor airline schedules, operational pressures, and disruption patterns to anticipate and respond to demand.

Relationship Management

  • Build strong, influential relationships with airline procurement teams, crew‑logistics departments, network operations centres (NOCs), and senior airline decision‑makers.
  • Position KANDMTRAVEL.CO.UK as a reliable, rapid‑response partner for disruption and crew accommodation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams — GMs, Commercial Directors, Hotel Managers, and Operations — to ensure seamless delivery during both planned operations and IROPS events.

Revenue & Commercial Performance

  • Own revenue, production, and profitability targets for all UK airline accounts.
  • Lead contract negotiations, rate strategies, and volume agreements for crew blocks, ad‑hoc crew rooms, and disruption allocations.
  • Analyse performance data to refine commercial strategies and maximise outcomes.
  • Implement reporting frameworks to track revenue growth, disruption response performance, and account health.

Operational & Project Execution

  • Lead commercial projects that enhance disruption response speed, operational reliability, and crew experience.
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen KANDM’s competitive position in the disruption and crew accommodation market.
  • Streamline internal processes to improve response times, reporting accuracy, and client satisfaction during IROPS events.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in the airline sector, ideally in IROPS/disruption management, aviation logistics, or airline procurement, crew accommodation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering revenue and market‑share growth.
  • Established relationships within UK airline procurement, crew‑logistics, or operations teams.
  • Experience managing high‑value airline accounts and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate across multiple operational areas.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and operational execution skills.
