Role Description

The Director of Sales is a full-time, on-site role based in Basingstoke, England, responsible for leading and executing CPS’s regional sales strategy within the cash management and currency solutions market. This role oversees sales planning, pipeline management, and performance tracking to drive revenue growth and market share, while maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key customers and strategic partners. The Director of Sales will manage and develop the sales team, providing coaching, setting clear targets, and aligning activities with business objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Negotiating complex contracts
  • Collaborating with operations and service teams to ensure exceptional customer experience
  • Reporting on market trends and sales performance to senior leadership
  • Representing CPS at industry events and customer meetings
  • Promoting CPS solutions and ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute CPS's global sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Provide leadership to an international sales team, ensuring consistent performance, coaching, and capability development.
  • Own global pipeline management, forecasting, sales governance, and commercial performance.
  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders worldwide.
  • Lead major bids, complex negotiations, and enterprise sales opportunities across multiple markets.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Delivery, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver integrated customer solutions and exceptional client outcomes.
  • Identify new market opportunities, support global expansion initiatives, and build strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure sales activities operate within CPS's commercial, legal, and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in senior sales leadership, driving revenue growth through the sale of complex B2B solutions.
  • Experience leading international sales teams and managing strategic customer relationships across global markets.
  • Strong business development, sales management, pipeline management, and forecasting capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and close complex commercial opportunities and long-term partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and results-oriented leadership.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and key decision-makers globally.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for customer success and long-term partnership development.
  • Experience within cash management, banking, financial technology, payments, or a related industry would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
