Director of Sales - London, UK

TalentVault is hiring five Director of Sales for a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn that is revolutionizing the global payroll and payments industry.

Our client has raised over $400M from multiple tier-one investors to build a comprehensive global workforce platform. Their innovative technology enables organizations to hire, onboard, and pay employees seamlessly across more than 160 countries. With approximately 700 employees across 22 countries—including key sites in EMEA, the US, and APAC—they are expanding their hyper-growth team.

Role Overview

As the Director of Sales, you will lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team in Colombia. You will drive future growth by building a robust sales pipeline and closing complex, high-value deals with mid-market and enterprise organizations. This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on sales execution within a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of sales professionals, supporting them through the full sales cycle.
  • Drive team performance to consistently meet and exceed revenue targets and sales goals.
  • Provide strategic guidance, daily coaching, and hands-on deal support to your team.
  • Train the team on modern sales workflows, AI-assisted insights, and deal prioritization strategies.

Strategic Business Development & Execution

  • Identify new business opportunities ranging from hyper-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
  • Remain actively involved in the sales process to help close high-value, complex opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
  • Deliver compelling, tailored presentations and demos that showcase the platform's ROI and value proposition.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Marketing to discover new opportunities, improve messaging, and build pipeline.
  • Partner with Product and Operations to align client needs with our platform's global capabilities.
  • Manage and track data within Salesforce to ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Provide field feedback to support product updates and go-to-market strategies.

Role Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven record of closing complex enterprise deals.
  • Leadership: Previous experience in a sales leadership role (Team Lead, Manager, or Director).
  • Industry Knowledge: Background or familiarity with global payroll, HR tech, or fintech platforms is highly preferred.
  • Education: BA/BS degree.
  • Language Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills in English at a native or professional level.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of Salesforce, Salesloft, ZoomInfo, or equivalent CRM and AI-driven sales tools.
  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial "whatever it takes" attitude with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and execution.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and thrive in a hyper-growth global environment.
