The Director of Sales is responsible for driving the hotel's commercial success by leading proactive sales strategies, developing key client relationships and maximising revenue opportunities across all market segments.

What You'll Be Doing…
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets across rooms, meetings, events and corporate accounts.
- Lead the delivery of the Hotel Sales Plan, reviewing performance monthly and adjusting activity to maximise commercial results.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, agencies, event planners, tour operators and key local businesses.
- Personally conduct a minimum of 10 sales appointments per week focusing on high-yield opportunities.
- Host client hospitality events, networking opportunities and familiarisation trips to showcase the hotel and strengthen partnerships.
- Identify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, lead generation and market research.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager, on property Director of Revenue and Regional Commercial Team on the annual Budget and Business Plan.
- Attend weekly commercial strategy meetings, contributing to pricing, forecasting and revenue optimisation decisions.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align sales activity with promotional campaigns and brand initiatives.
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy and positioning.
- Prepare detailed sales reports and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Represent Hyatt Place London City East at industry events, trade shows and networking functions across London.
- Lead, coach and develop members of the sales team, driving a high-performance culture focused on results and exceptional customer service.
- Ensure all sales activity is accurately recorded and aligned with RBH and Hyatt brand standards.
What We Need From You
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality sales, events sales or commercial hotel operations with a proven track record of delivering revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Delphi, Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing commercial agreements and contracts.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the London hotel market would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to attend events, client meetings and networking opportunities outside standard working hours.
- A proactive, energetic and results-driven approach with the confidence to identify and act on new business opportunities.
