The Arora Group is seeking an ambitious, commercially focused Director of Sales – Vertical Markets to lead the identification, development and conversion of high-value business opportunities across key industry sectors for our hotel portfolio.

This is a senior, group-wide business development role where you will build influential relationships with corporate organisations, industry bodies, procurement leaders and decision-makers, securing opportunities that drive accommodation, meetings, events and wider commercial revenue across the portfolio.

The Role

As Director of Sales – Vertical Markets, you will be responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth across the Group's hotel portfolio. Working closely with Sales, Revenue, Marketing and hotel teams, you will ensure opportunities are converted into long-term business partnerships that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted vertical market sales strategy aligned to Group commercial objectives.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across key industry sectors.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with corporate decision-makers, procurement teams, travel managers and event stakeholders.
  • Negotiate preferred supplier agreements, strategic partnerships and corporate programmes.
  • Create and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, tracking revenue, room nights and conversion performance.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel sales teams to maximise opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Work alongside agency and channel partners to ensure a joined-up commercial approach.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven success in business development, corporate sales, or strategic account management.
  • Strong track record of winning new business and building senior-level client relationships.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially driven with strong pipeline and sales performance management experience.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and manage complex sales opportunities.
  • Experience within hospitality, hotels, travel, events, or other relationship-led sectors is highly desirable.
  • Confident, proactive and self-motivated, with a passion for creating new opportunities and delivering results.
