- Provide senior oversight of supplier management, including vendor governance, commercial performance, contract management and Service Integration and Management (SIAM).
- Lead oversight of Quality Assurance and Test Management, setting the approach to quality governance, release assurance and test automation.
- Own ServiceNow as a strategic platform, including its roadmap, governance, investment decisions and delivery of business value.
- Ensure strong service governance, operational controls, risk management, compliance and performance reporting across the operating model.
- Lead Elexon’s operational resilience capability, including Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, ensuring critical services can withstand, respond to and recover from significant disruption.
- Provide senior leadership during major incidents and service-critical challenges, including appropriate governance, escalation and regulatory reporting.
- Own the multi-year investment case for Service Operations, including budgets, resource planning and technology investment.
- Champion operational excellence, customer experience and digital innovation, using insight and continual improvement to deliver measurable and sustainable change.
- Play a key strategic role across the Operations Directorate and COO Leadership Team, influencing wider priorities, investment and delivery decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
