Director of Software Engineering | Hybrid in Nottingham and London (once per week in each office)

We're partnered with a global technology organisation looking for an experienced engineering leader to take ownership of a large-scale software engineering function during a period of significant transformation and growth.

This is a leadership role with responsibility for multiple product areas, international engineering teams and a substantial technology modernisation programme. You'll inherit a mature organisation whilst helping shape its future direction, with a particular focus on AI adoption, platform evolution and engineering excellence.

The Opportunity

Reporting into international leadership, you'll lead an engineering organisation of approximately 60-80 engineers across multiple Scrum teams, managing Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders.

You'll be responsible for ensuring successful delivery across several product portfolios, balancing strategic leadership with the ability to engage in technical discussions when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
