Shape the strategy that will help transform financial services, create a lasting impact.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the direction and impact of an organisation working to transform financial services for the better. As Director of Strategy & Performance, you will connect strategy, planning, delivery performance and evaluation, helping Fair4All Finance make evidence-led decisions, learn continuously and focus its resources where they can have the greatest impact for people in vulnerable circumstances.
Joining our Strategic Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CEO, Board and senior colleagues, with the scope to influence organisation-wide priorities and how success is defined and delivered. The role offers exceptional breadth, bringing together strategy, policy, research, insight, performance and programme management, alongside the opportunity to lead a talented multidisciplinary team and help drive positive change across the wider financial system.
Essentially, this role creates a golden thread through the organisation’s work, from the inception of our work at strategy incarnation through interim performance monitoring to final stage evaluation and impact evidence, enabling iterative learning and informing pivots and adaptations.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an accomplished and inclusive senior leader with substantial experience of strategy, policy, organisational planning and performance monitoring within financial services, the public or not-for-profit sectors. Combining strategic vision with analytical rigour, you will have led multidisciplinary teams and developed effective research, monitoring and evaluation capabilities. You will be able to turn evidence and complexity into clear priorities, measurable outcomes and lasting impact, while sharing our commitment to improving financial resilience and access to fair and affordable financial services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
