Head of Technology
Manchester
£125,000 - £150,000 + Bonus
My client is a fast-growing, digitally led consumer business looking for a hands-on Head of Technology. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the technology roadmap while leading the engineering, data and IT functions.
The role will cover:
- Setting and delivering the technology strategy
- Leading and developing the internal technology teams
- Scaling and improving the ecommerce platform and wider systems
- Ensuring strong performance, security and reliability
- Introducing new technology, including practical uses of AI
- Managing technology budgets, suppliers and delivery

They’re looking for someone with:
- Senior technology leadership experience within ecommerce, D2C or a digital consumer business
- Experience scaling high-traffic ecommerce platforms / understanding of 3PL and ecommerce platforms, especially Shopify
- A strong understanding of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, integrations and data
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining close to delivery
- A commercial, pragmatic leadership style
