About Us
We’re building the world’s leading cross-border fintech for emerging markets - empowering families, fueling local economies, and changing how millions access financial services.
Since our launch in 2019, we have transformed how money moves across borders with our operations spanning 6 out of 7 continents and covering both the busiest and most underserved (remittance) corridors. We tapped into a massive shift - from banks to phones - bringing digital finance to places where traditional systems never reached. The next stage of growth will fuel a network of services and products especially designed to make money more accessible to diaspora communities including local cards, and additional savings and payments features.
We’re growing fast, backed by world-class investors, and scaling a product that blends real world impact with cutting edge fintech innovation.

Director of Trading
Job Title: Director of Trading
Location: London (hybrid)
Reports to: Head of Treasury
Position Overview
The Director of Trading will own and run Taptap Send's FX trading function across its emerging-market corridors, G10 treasury book, as well as stablecoin on/off ramp. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in emerging-market FX, strong relationships with liquidity providers, sharp analytical and execution skills, and the judgement to manage risk and margin under volatile conditions. This is a live desk doing real volume; the role is to take ownership of it, sharpen what it does, and scale it as corridors grow. The Director of Trading reports to the Head of Treasury and leads the existing trading team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Trading Execution: Own day-to-day FX execution across 40+ actively traded currencies, setting the standard for execution quality, pricing and risk discipline.
- P&L Ownership: Take full accountability for trading margin, managing the spread between sourcing cost and required rates corridor by corridor, and reporting performance with clear attribution.
- Liquidity Management: Build and manage the liquidity provider panel — onboarding, benchmarking and renegotiating to secure competitive pricing — and manage concentration so no corridor depends on a single counterparty.
- Sourcing Strategy: Optimise how the desk funds each corridor, including stablecoin sourcing where it is cheaper and faster than fiat rails.
- Treasury Partnership: Work closely with Treasury on pre-funding and working capital, recognising that execution timing moves the funding requirement.
- Cross-functional Communication: Partner with Ops and Compliance on counterparty risk and settlement flows, and translate FX dynamics into clear decisions for senior stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the existing trading team, raising capability and driving automation so the desk scales without scaling headcount one-for-one.
