Role Overview
This is a pivotal role leading the translation of the Trust's strategic ambition into sustainable operational and organisational change.
Directly accountable to the Director of Strategy, Integration & Neighbourhood Health and a member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Transformation will be responsible for turning complex strategy and ambitions into local delivery plans and driving improvement and change for the benefit of local communities served by the organisation.
The role will be responsible for the development and delivery of an ambitious large-scale Transformation Programme that spans the whole organisation, including in clinical divisions as well as corporate areas. It will also need to work alongside members of the Acute Provider Collaborative and system partners where required. It will need to combine operational excellence, continuous improvement and financial sustainability while ensuring appropriate balance between quality, productivity and efficiency. A proven programme management approach, sound operational understanding and excellent leadership and delivery skills are required.

The role will ensure the emerging trust Transformation Programme is delivered in a way which not only delivers measurable operational and financial improvement, but also supports cultural/behavioural change with staff and wider stakeholder to ensure changes are embedded and sustainable. This role expects very close working relationships with operational leaders alongside finance, workforce, strategy and digital teams.
Alongside leading the Transformation Programme, the role is also responsible for developing the pipeline of opportunities for the Cost Improvement Programme and leading on the productivity programme.
Depending on experience, the role may be expected to lead the identification and delivery of commercial and private patient opportunities that support the Trust's strategic ambitions, financial sustainability and long-term organisational development.
As a member of the senior leadership team, you will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Trust to deliver its objectives. This role may include participation on the Director On-Call rota.
