A leading European global investment firm, is seeking an experienced Head of Treasury to establish and lead its Treasury function.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this is an opportunity to build a treasury capability from the ground up within a high-growth alternative asset manager.

The successful individual will take ownership of liquidity management, funding strategy, treasury operations, cash forecasting, and financial risk management across a rapidly expanding pan-European investment platform.

Working closely with Finance, Risk, FP&A, Portfolio Management, Origination, Fund Operations, and external banking partners, you will play a critical role in ensuring the business has the liquidity, financing capacity, and treasury infrastructure required to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the Treasury function, establishing policies, controls, and best practice.
  • Develop and manage liquidity frameworks, cash forecasting, and funding strategies across multiple legal entities and investment structures.
  • Optimise cash deployment while maintaining appropriate liquidity to support investment activity.
  • Manage financing facilities, warehouse lines, and secured funding arrangements, including utilisation, covenant monitoring, and refinancing.
  • Lead treasury operations including cash positioning, bank account management, capital movements, and funding activities.
  • Develop relationships with banking partners, lenders, and financing counterparties.
  • Design and oversee interest rate and foreign exchange hedging strategies, ensuring effective management of financial risk.
  • Produce treasury reporting, dashboards, and management information to support executive decision making.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Risk, FP&A, and Investment teams on liquidity planning, funding strategy, and new transactions.
  • Drive the implementation of treasury systems, automation, and reporting infrastructure.

Candidate Profile

We're looking for an experienced treasury leader who combines strong technical expertise with a commercial mindset and enjoys building functions in an entrepreneurial environment.

You will likely bring:

  • 10+ years' treasury experience within private credit, alternative asset management, specialty finance, corporate banking, or structured finance.
  • Deep expertise in liquidity management, funding strategy, and treasury operations.
  • Experience managing warehouse facilities, secured financing, or asset-backed lending structures.
  • Strong knowledge of interest rate and foreign exchange risk management and hedging.
  • Proven experience in cash forecasting, financing optimisation, and balance sheet management.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and external financing partners.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling business.
