About the role
Reporting to the Group Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will develop new university partnerships from first conversation through to signed contract. You will lead a team of senior sales professionals while developing your own opportunities, leading from the front to demonstrate best practice, deliver results and raise your team’s commercial capability.
The location is remote, with regular travel to our London office, university campuses and sector events.
What you’ll do
University partnership growth
- Own a personal pipeline of new universities, from first conversation to signed contract.
- Lead complex sales involving directors and C-suite leaders across multiple departments, helping clients make informed purchasing decisions.
- Drive conversion through university buying cycles, including frameworks, tenders and business cases.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals that build sustainable, long-term client relationships.

Team leadership
- Lead a team of senior sales professionals, setting individual targets with the CCO.
- Run weekly pipeline reviews and coach live deals.
- Embed the MEDDIC sales methodology and build team capability.
- Develop the team’s higher education knowledge and relationship skills.
- Address underperformance quickly and fairly and celebrate wins visibly.
Sector knowledge and profile
- Develop trusted, senior relationships across the UK higher education sector.
- Act as an adviser to universities on international recruitment, conversion and compliance challenges.
- Stay ahead of UK higher education policy and trends.
- Represent Enroly at sector events and with sector bodies.
Sales operations
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
- Build the annual sales plan, covering territories, targets, headcount and activity.
- Track pipeline coverage, conversion, cycle length and deal size, and act on what the data shows.
What we are looking for
Essential skills, experience, and attributes
- Significant demonstrable experience in B2B sales, ideally selling SaaS or technical solutions, with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding personal targets.
- Established experience selling into UK higher education providers or a similar sector.
- Strong knowledge of the UK higher education sector, including international student recruitment.
- Proven experience managing a target-carrying sales team while still closing deals yourself.
- A track record of improving sales performance through coaching and enablement.
- A consultative, relationship-led approach, with the credibility to advise senior university leaders.
- Disciplined and accurate forecasting.
- Based in the UK, the role holder will need to supply their own authorisation to work in the UK.

Desirable
- Ability to bring an established network of senior contacts across UK universities, ideally in international, admissions, compliance or student services teams.
- Relevant experience working inside a university, for example in international recruitment, admissions or compliance.
- Familiarity with public procurement, frameworks and tenders in the sector.
