Be part of the movement - and play your part.
About the role
As a Used Asset Sales professional, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sales process for used assets, from assessing equipment condition and market value through to securing buyers and completing sales. You will build strong customer and industry relationships, identify new sales opportunities and use market insight to develop competitive pricing and marketing strategies that maximise returns.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinate equipment inspections and condition assessments, ensuring assets are accurately evaluated and prepared for sale.
- Identify potential buyers, generate new sales leads and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Research market trends, competitor pricing, auction results and supply and demand to recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts with customers, dealers, brokers and other sales partners.
- Develop and coordinate marketing activity for used equipment, including creating sales listings and promotional materials and advertising assets through websites, dealers, brokers and auctions.
About you
We are looking for a self-driven and outgoing sales professional with strong commercial awareness and a proven track record in sales, negotiation and relationship management. You will have experience securing the best possible recovery value while maintaining customer relationships, with an understanding of residual values, market pricing trends and profitability. You will ideally have knowledge of equipment specifications, capabilities, applications and condition, including how maintenance history and asset lifecycle can impact resale value. Experience in business development, contract management, used equipment markets or asset disposal would be highly desirable, alongside the ability to identify new buyers, dealers, brokers and sales channels.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
