Job Description:
Your Impact in This Role
The Director Operations – Glass Recycling Cluster UK is co-owner of the cluster P&L and is the primary responsible for ensuring the implementation and execution of Sibelco’s operations and growth strategy, as well as managing the overall plant operations in the cluster, in compliance with quality, HSE and sustainable standards and corporate policies.

- Deliver the cluster’s P&L, grow the business and realize the set performance objectives in terms of safety, quality, quantity, planning and costs.
- Ensure that the Business Services Team (BST) can deliver the outcome of the Finance, HR & Procurement processes allocated to the team.
- Manage the Work Council (CSE) with HR.
- Be responsible for delivering Capex projects (sustaining and developing projects) and continuous improvement.
- Define the overall staffing needs of the cluster operations organization with the Site Managers and HRM.
- Responsible for day to day management of a team of 2 Site Managers, as well as Engineering, QHSE and Waste.
- Drive the “Cluster performance triangle meetings” together with the Cluster Commercial Director.
What You Bring to the Table
- Master Level – Engineering or equivalent
- Multiple years of industry experience in recycling, heavy industry or the cement industry, where HSE, Maintenance, Optimization and Operational Excellence are paramount.
- Strong leadership experience in a transformation environment.
- Proven track record of P/L delivery
- Native English is vital
- You must have the right to work in the UK
