Title: Director, Options Trader, Global Equity Derivatives, Global Banking and Markets

Position & Team Overview/Highlights

Contributes to the overall success of Global Equity Derivatives & Investor Solutions teams by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

This role has been identified as a Material Risk Taker (MRT) and falls into scope under the PRA/FCA Certification Regime. Therefore, the individual is required to be internally ‘Certified’ as a significant harm function.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for managing all market risks across the Exotic Europe Index and Single Stock books.
  • Ensures all risks are contained within the approved limits outlined in the Desk’s LCS.
  • Provides timely and accurate pricing updates for products within my area of responsibility; provide backup across the GED trading team as required.
  • Partners with the financial engineering team to expand and improve the EQD model suite and risk management capabilities.
  • Ensures all trading is conducted within the Desk’s approved Volcker operating plan.
  • Assists the EDT team in testing new model enhancements to help reduce model risk post implementation.
  • Communicates with clients on matters related to equity market volatility when requested by Sales.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in equity exotic options trading, with a proven track record in risk management.
  • Deep expertise in global equity derivatives and structured products, including pricing and managing risk for complex, model-dependent structures such as autocallables, issuer callables, multi-asset, and barrier options.
  • Advanced knowledge of derivatives modelling, including Local Stochastic Volatility (LSV) frameworks and correlation skew dynamics.
  • Strong academic foundation with a degree in Finance, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Fully licensed and registered for trading stocks, options, and futures in European markets.
  • Proficient in Python, VBA, and Excel for quantitative analysis and automation.
